"The Quiet Neighborhood" was written out of concern for the increase in childhood obesity.

Join me in inspiring kids to step outside, explore, and embrace healthier, active lives. Let’s make a change together!

Somewhere, in a city not so far from where you live, is a neighborhood that is so very quiet.

Four kids get off the bus at the same stop and head totheir separate houses every day. None of them talk to each other or stay outside to play, they just go inside.

But that all changes when they are met with an unusual sight at the bus stop one sunny afternoon.

Come along for the ride as Jaydon, Carter, Bree, and Tina discover there’s more to life than being indoors by yourself.

In today’s world of screen time and limited physical activity, “The Quiet Neighborhood” promotes outdoor fun and community. Share this fun story with your kids or students to introduce them to the joys of playing outside and being with friends.
